It’s been almost 11 weeks since my six bottle baby kittens arrived at Kitten School foster home, where they needed round the clock care for the first few weeks of their lives. They are now ready to go to their forever homes…and it’s never easy saying goodbye.

  1. Hi Everybody, Hi Caroline, Yeah, the "Twins" Orange Blossom and Kaily…. well a lot of people will think you are kidding, because, well, don't all cats look alike? Yes, a little bit, but sometimes… well, there are just TWINS. I'm surprised you could Name them. When I had my Feral Cat Feeding Station, Funny Face, Mother of All Cats (it took me years to catch her to get her fixed), well two of the kittens from one of her litters were Red Tabbies, with identical markings down to the dot inside the swirl, and they were inseparable, and they had the same mannerisms and temperment… it was like one of them was walking around with a mirror strapped to his side. You know what I named them? The first I named Franky. The second I named Franky. You know, one of the happiest moments in my life… they just hit… it was 4 o'clock in the morning and still hours away from daylight and I was walking from my place with the Food and the "Feeding House" (the Trap that would eventually Catch Funny Face) to the Feeding Station and along the way all the cats, from their micro-territories from the Jungle on both sides of the paving, ran out to meet me. Closest and in front were Franky and Franky who were Weaving Criss-Cross Like Magic… an Infinite Figure-8 or a
Double Spiral Helix, like they were poking through and going inside and out of each other (one of those Twin Things). And their Tails were perfectly straight up in the air. And those two were beautiful Long Tall Things. And then Everybody else too. All those cats happy to be alive at their favorite time of day, and I was a big part of it. It was a Parade illuminated by a Street Light. And Franky and Franky leading the way.

  2. Awww…. I have the biggest smile on my face. These kittens are so lucky to have had you. Thank you so much for taking good care of them and sharing them with us all

  3. If I fostered kittens and cats I'd probably end up like the crazy cat lady in CA, Cats On the Kings, who has anywhere from 700 to 1000 of them at any given moment except none of mine would be available for adoption! 🙂

  4. They sure are the cutest 'lil nuggets! That's for sure! I hope they all have long & wonderful lives!

Yes! it is so hard to "say goodbye", especially when you've raised them since they were teeny-tiny! I try to tell ppl all the time, no fosters, mean too many that just won't ever be rescued!, so ppl need to keep their eyes on the long term & how they're helping to save lives! You just wouldn't be human if you didn't feel the heart pangs of sadness letting them go!

Thank you for all you do Caroline, for so many kitties in need! You're truly an earth Angel!
